PALADIN GUNDOGS IS A FAMILY COLLABORATIVE EFFORT
Our Pudelpointers live, work, and play with us. We are an active family that values the special bonds made with each dog. Each family member plays a little different role depending on what “season” we are in and who is available. We all love the work or we wouldn’t be doing it. I don’t force my kids to help. However, I do appreciate it and I couldn’t do it without them. Thus, I share some of the proceeds of each litter with them. We are committed to producing healthy, well socialized, puppies that mature early into versatile gun dogs that are calm in the home but “turn it on” in the field. As soon as they are old enough to walk, we get them out to the field environment. We load them up each morning before work for an hour and another hour after work. By six weeks, they are moving out to the front on our walks in the field! If it’s warm enough, we swim them several times. We also get permission take each litter to the local schools. They are handled and played with by multiple classes of kids of varying ages. It can be chaotic but worth it for socialization.
One of the best things about producing outstanding dogs for outstanding people are the relationships built. I train and hunt with several that started as “clients” and turned into solid friends. In addition, many “clients” have become hunting partners and friends with other “clients” and with other Pudelpointer owners across the country.
