Raccoon Nelli Killed Gets Carried Away by a Giant Bird [Video]
I threw the raccoon Nelli killed last night down the lane—out of reach of the dogs with containment collars—planning to dispose of it later. I forgot. A giant bird didn’t.
LeAnn happened to witness the whole thing from the window, and the doorbell camera caught it on video. The bird picked the raccoon up, dropped it, picked it up again, and flew off. That raccoon weighed at least 12 pounds, maybe more.
I can’t say exactly what kind of bird it was, but it was big enough to make you stop and think—it could absolutely carry off a pup.
